1. Overview & Institutional
Mandate
The Massive Open Online Courses (MOOC)
Committee at Annada College, Hazaribag is a supervisory and advisory body
established to foster digital pedagogy, online education, and self-paced
blended learning across all academic disciplines. The committee acts as the
institutional nodal facilitator for national and international e-learning
portals, primarily SWAYAM, NPTEL, and UGC e-PG Pathshala, in alignment with the
National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
The committee mentors students and faculty
in choosing high-quality certified online courses, facilitates academic credit
transfer as per UGC regulations, and oversees the infrastructural readiness of
computer labs for online examination and learning.

4. Functions & Key
Responsibilities

SWAYAM & NPTEL Local
Chapter Management: Acting as the institutional Single Point of Contact (SPOC) and
liaison with national coordinators (UGC, NPTEL, CEC, IGNOU, NCERT) for SWAYAM
Local Chapter operations.

Student Mentorship & Course
Selection: Guiding
and counselling students in selecting relevant MOOC subjects, value-added
modules, and multidisciplinary electives matching their career goals.

Credit Transfer Facilitation: Ensuring systematic integration
and credit equivalence of completed online courses in student grade cards as
per UGC (Credit Framework for Online Learning Courses through SWAYAM)
Regulations.

Faculty Upskilling Promotion: Encouraging teaching faculty to
complete Annual Refresher Programmes in Teaching (ARPIT) and FDP courses on
SWAYAM/NPTEL for professional career advancement.

Lab & Technical
Infrastructure: Coordinating
with the college computer center to provide high-speed internet, digital
library access, and dedicated terminals for online assignments and tests.

Awareness Drives &
Workshops: Conducting
regular orientation webinars, induction sessions, and demo workshops to
popularize digital learning platforms among newly admitted students.
·
Academic Record Maintenance: Maintaining an institutional
database of student enrollments, completion rates, certifications, and credit
transfers earned via MOOCs.
