STUDENT INDUCTION PROGRAMME 22ND AUGUST, 2024 Subject: STUDENT INDUCTION PROGRAMME Venue: SEMINAR HALL, ANNADA COLLEGE, HAZARIBAG No. of Participants: 65 Preamble: In Annada College, the Department of Computer Applications (BCA) and Software Development (SD) jointly conducted a 01-day induction programme for the newly enrolled students of BCA and Software Development for the academic session (2024-27).

EDUCATIONAL TOUR Venue: CENTRAL UNIVERSITY OF JHARKHAND, RANCHI Preamble: In Annada College, the Department of Computer Applications (BCA) and Software Development (SD) jointly went to Central University of Jharkhand ,Ranchi for a 2-day workshop on Social Media Influencer . Objective: The primary objective of social media influencer workshop was to make students aware of the social media where students can influence people and generate a lot of social media engagement. They also have access to a wide range of audience can share information to persuade others and drive social media through their authenticity and reach.

Quiz Competition on C-Programming Language

 It encourages constructive argument so that everyone can gain knowledge from one another. Quizzes greatly change the manner in which information is shared, in addition to the educational advantages of exposing young children to new concepts and skills. Students develop the habit of creative learning early on since the questions were curriculum-based and it requires careful study and critical thought.

(GLOBAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP SUMMIT)

 Purpose and outcome of the event: The purpose of the Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES) at IIT Kharagpur, organized by the Entrepreneurship Cell, is to foster innovation, entrepreneurship, and startup concepts by bringing together academicians, entrepreneurs, industry leaders, venture capitalists, and students to share ideas, build connections, and inspire growth.

Since time immemorial, Innovation and entrepreneurship have always been at the heart of progress, and IIT Kharagpur’s Global Entrepreneurship Summit 2025 proved to be the ultimate summit where visionaries, business leaders, and ambitious students came together to shape the future of startups. Held from February 7 to 9, 2025, this entrepreneurship summit was an inspiring confluence of ideas, talent, and cutting-edge advancements, serving as a beacon for those passionate about building the next big thing.

“Lecture on Ways to Prevent Cyber Frauds”

Purpose / Aim:The primary aim of this event is to raise awareness and educate individuals and organizations about the growing threat of cyber frauds. The event seeks to equip participants with the knowledge and tools needed to recognize, prevent, and respond to cyber threats effectively.

Objectives:

·         Educate attendees about various types of cyber frauds such as phishing, identity theft, financial fraud, and online scams.

·         Inform participants about the latest trends and techniques used by cybercriminals.

·         Demonstrate practical steps to enhance cyber security hygiene—strong passwords, secure browsing, multi-factor authentication, etc.

·         Promote safe online practices and responsible use of technology.

·         Encourage collaboration between public, private, and educational sectors to strengthen cyber security awareness.

Industrial Training Programme

Purpose / Aim:The primary aim of this event is to provide students with practical insights into modern manufacturing techonologies, industry ready tools, and advanced software applications used in engineering and design.

Objectives:

To make BCA students aware of how digital tools and computer applications play a crucial role in manufacturing, automation, and product design, giving a real world understanding of how computer science integrates with industrial processes.

Expected Outcomes:

Students actively interacted with the trainers, doubts, and learned about the career and training opportunities offered by JGTR . Many expressed that the visit enhanced their technical awareness and motivated them to explore specialized skill-based programmes in the future

Parent-Teacher Meet

  Purpose / aim / objective of the event:

·         To discuss the academic performance, attendance and overall progress of the BCA Sem-III (2024-2027) students.

 Beneficiaries / participants : 54 students along with their parents.

• To make attendees aware of how to improve cyber security hygiene, such as multi-factor authentication, secure surfing, and strong passwords.
• To help participants acquire useful advice and techniques for safeguarding both personal and business information.
