Chemistry plays an important and useful role towards the development and growth of a number of industries like glass, cement, paper, textile, leather, dyes etc. We also see huge applications of chemistry in the commercial fields like paints, pigments, petroleum, sugar, plastics, pharmaceuticals etc. Chemistry is also involved in household products and everyday objects like food, pest controls, construction materials, cleaners, colours etc.  

There are a number of career opportunities in studying Chemistry like analytical chemists, chemical engineers, environmental chemists, forensic scientists etc. The students can also appear for general competitive examinations like SSC, railways, banking, civil services etc.

 The Department of Chemistry at Annada College, Hazaribag aims at offering quality education in Chemistry both theoretically and practically. It has a well equipped laboratory with all the modern apparatus and required chemicals for different type of qualitative and quantitative analysis. The faculty members are dedicated towards giving a widescope knowledge in chemistry and also towards helping the students for future learning.
