COMMITTEE FOR CAMPUS UPKEEP AND GREEN INITIATIVE
ANNADA COLLEGE, HAZARIBAG
The Committee for Campus Upkeep and Green Initiative
is a supervisory and advisory body for the college. Its primary aim is to keep
an eye on the upkeep of the campus of the college including its buildings and
playground, parking, garden, etc. so that the college caters to the need of the
students efficiently. It is also imperative for the committee for initiate
green efforts to contribute in the movement of improving environment globally.

FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES
1. To advise the college administration on
the upkeep of the campus of the college including its buildings, playground,
parking, garden, etc.
2. To advise the college administration for
making budgetary provisions for the upkeep of the campus and green initiatives.
3. To
promote use of technology as one of the important green initiatives.
4. To organize seminars / workshops /
campaigns to sensitize the students and staff regarding green initiatives.
5. To
organize events like ‘Free Polythene Campus’, ‘No Vehicle Day’, etc.
6. To
encourage students and staff for minimizing the use of paper.
7. To promote energy saving measures such
as switching off unnecessary lights, minimizing the use of ACs, use of energy
efficient electrical equipment, installation of solar energy panels, water
harvesting, water recycling, discouraging the use of disposable plastic bottles
/ glasses, use of drip irrigation for lawn, sensor for water tanks, efficient
management of solid and liquid waste, compost making, plantation, protection of
the existing plants / saplings, etc.
7. To collect and compile data for assessing
the progress made towards contribution to the environment.
8. Co-ordinating with the local
administration and raising funds from the corporates and individuals for campus
upkeep and green initiatives.
MISCELLANEOUS
Membership: The membership of
nominated members of the Career
Counseling and Placement Cell shall be for a period of
two years from the date of notification.
Meeting: The
Committee should meet at least once in every quarter.
Quorum: The quorum for the meeting shall be
two-thirds of the total number of members.
Record
Keeping: The
agenda, minutes and Action Taken Reports are to be documented with official
signatures and maintained in a register and electronically in a retrievable
format.
Reporting: A copy of the same will be submitted to the
IQAC of the college for preparation of various reports of IQAC. And a soft copy
of the same has to be submitted to the Principal (Administration) and to the
Secretary (Management) of the institution.
