 Constituted in the year 2008 as per the Guidelines of NAAC, the Equal Opportunity Cell is a supervisory and advisory committee for the college. Its primary aim is to take care of the women, SC, ST, OBC, differently-abled and Minority students of the College.

FUNCTIONS / RESPOSIBILITIES

1.      To take affirmative actions concerning SC, ST and OBC.

2.      To create a barrier free access to all buildings of College, Departments, Library, and Offices of the college

3.      To Smooth and efficient running of a Resource Centre that specialises in promoting the needs of differently-abled students.

4.      No discrimination on grounds of disability or minority status.

5.      Conducting short term courses for imparting employable skills for the Divyang and for raising awareness about disability.

6.      To implement schemes related to women, SC, ST, OBC, Divyang and Minority students.

7.      To facilitate financial assistance to these students from Government, NGOs, institute, etc.

8.      To make arrangements for scholarship and freeships.

9.      To run extra classes and remedial courses for educationally poor SC/ST and Minority students.

10.  To help them in socio-economical and educational problems.

11.  To promote the participation of social groups with relatively higher proportion of SC, ST, OBC, minorities and divyang students.

MISCELLANEOUS

Membership:       The membership of nominated members of the Career Counselling and Placement Cell shall be for a period of two years from the date of notification.

 

Meeting:        The Committee should meet at least once in every quarter.

 

Quorum:  The quorum for the meeting shall be two-thirds of the total number of members.

 

Record

Keeping:   The agenda, minutes and Action Taken Reports are to be documented with official signatures and maintained in a register and electronically in a retrievable format.

 

Reporting:            A copy of the same will be submitted to the IQAC of the college for preparation of various reports of IQAC. And a soft copy of the same has to be submitted to the Principal (Administration) and to the Secretary (Management) of the institution.
