The Committee for Social Extension and Cultural
Activities is a supervisory and advisory body for the college administration.
Its primary aim is to inculcate and develop
social sensitivity, moral values and professional ethics in the students along
with their academic formation so that the students show responsible behaviour
to the professional community and society at large and to grow as responsible
citizens of high moral values, making valuable contributions to
profession/community/society, thus realizing a major goal in the Vision and
Mission of the Institute.The
Committee will also aim to bring forth the talent of students in performing
arts.

FUNCTIONS
/ RESPONSIBILITIES
1. To
arrange discussions and workshops of group of students on a regular basis on
issues of social importance, ethical relevance and moral values.
2. To
organize social service groups and clubs as well as outdoor filed activities,
to encourage and involve students in social service activities.
3. To
organize social extension activities such as Blood Donation Camps, Area
Cleaning Drives, Plantation Drives, COVID – 19 Awareness Drives, Cleanliness
Drives, No Plastic Drives, Digital Literacy Programmes, etc.
4. To
promote and arrange extracurricular activities to bring out the talent of
students in the performing arts.
5. The
Committee will be responsible for all intra and inter collegiate cultural
events (viz. Youth Festival, Independence / Republic Day celebrations, etc.) in
the college or at other venues.
6. To
plan and schedule social extension activities and cultural events for the
academic year. (Tentative dates to be included in the academic calendar of the
institute) by delegating various tasks to the committee members and students.
7. To
set and plan the procedure to organize cultural events
8. To
communicate about various cultural festivals and events to be celebrated in the
college and give a wide publicity.
9. Arranging
cultural events/programs for staff and students.
10. To
form and organize ‘Students’ Cultural Committee’ for developing organizing
skills among the students.
MISCELLANEOUS
Membership: The membership of
nominated members of the Career
Counseling and Placement Cell shall be for a period of
two years from the date of notification.
Meeting: The
Committee should meet at least once in every quarter.
Quorum: The quorum for the meeting shall be
two-thirds of the total number of members.
Record Keeping: The
agenda, minutes and Action Taken Reports are to be documented with official
signatures and maintained in a register and electronically in a retrievable
format.
Reporting: A copy of the same will be submitted to
the IQAC of the college for preparation of various reports of IQAC. And a soft
copy of the same has to be submitted to the Principal (Administration) and to
the Secretary (Management) of the institution.
