The Sports Committee is a supervisory and advisory body for the college administration. Its primary aim is to provide healthy leisure time to the students as well as grooming the sportspersons of the college to compete at state, national and international levels.

05 Students (Sports persons) to be nominated by the committee.

 

 

 FUNCTION / RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Co-ordinate with the students for organizing Intra and Inter College sports activities.

 2. Keeping stock of previous and current years’ sports goods.

3. Ordering sports goods in consultation with the Principal and sportspersons.

4. Arranging the venues for sports events.

5. Coordinating with the Principal to seek permission to hold sports events on the college campus.

6. To recommend students for permission to participate in the intra-or inter college events.

7. To recommend sanction for Entry/Registration Fees to participate in various sports events.

8. To recommend attendance to students who have taken part in sports events as per rules

9. Sort out any issues taking place during matches (team selections, objections, quarrels etc).

10. Maintaining discipline in all events happening in and outside the college.

11. Holding sports events for staff members.

12. Maintaining records of sports events attended by students in the college, outside the college, within the University and outside.

13. Maintaining records of the scholarship / fee exemption / awards / medals received by the students in the college, outside the college, within the University and outside.

13. Finalize the schedule of events for the whole academic year in advance in consultation with the Students’ Sports Committee and get them recorded in the academic calendar.

 

Miscellaneous:

Membership: The membership of nominated members of the Sports Committee shall be for a period of two years from the date of notification.

 

Meeting:        The Committee should meet at least once in every quarter.

Quorum:        The quorum for the meeting shall be two-thirds of the total number of members.

 

Record Keeping:       The agenda, minutes and Action Taken Reports are to be documented with official signatures and maintained in a register and electronically in a retrievable format.

 

Reporting:      A copy of the same will be submitted to the IQAC of the college for preparation of various reports of IQAC. And a soft copy of the same has to be submitted to the Principal (Administration) and to the Secretary (Management) of the institution.
