The Anti-Ragging Cell is a supervisory and advisory body for the college administration on matters of planning action for building and preserving a culture of "Ragging Free Environment" on the Campus. The Committee will engage itself in the works of checking places like parking, playground, canteen, classrooms and other places of student congregation, for any incident of ragging and indiscipline, and educate the students at large on the campus about consequences of ragging and related punishment provisions.  Its primary aim is to prevent any form of ragging and indiscipline by the students either within or even outside the college.

FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES

1.      To take cognizance of any breach of discipline and suggest immediate disciplinary action in such cases.

2.      To implement and coordinate anti-ragging measures.

3.      To decide the quantum of punishment to be imposed on the erring students.

4.      To monitor discipline among students' community in classroom as well as at other places.

5.      To conduct enquiries of the defaulter students against individual/ collective indiscipline.

6.      Collection of relevant evidences of incidence of indiscipline.

7.      Liaison with District administration in matters regarding law and order situation in the college.

8.      To take preventive steps such as issue of notices, warnings, instructions, regulating certain actions etc. against individual or collective indiscipline.

9.      To educate students through seminars, workshops, programmes, lectures, etc. about consequences of ragging and related punishment provisions.

 

 

 

 

MISCELLANEOUS

Membership: The membership of nominated members of the Career Counselling and Placement Cell shall be for a period of two years from the date of notification.

 

Meeting:        The Committee should meet at least once in every quarter.

Quorum:        The quorum for the meeting shall be two-thirds of the total number of members.

 

Record

Keeping:         The agenda, minutes and Action Taken Reports are to be documented with official signatures and maintained in a register and electronically in a retrievable format.

 

Reporting:      A copy of the same will be submitted to the IQAC of the college for preparation of various reports of IQAC. And a soft copy of the same has to be submitted to the Principal (Administration) and to the Secretary (Management) of the institution.
