About
the Club
The Environmental Awareness Club is a
student-run organization at Annada College, Hazaribag, dedicated to spreading
awareness about environmental impacts and issues within the college and the
local community.
The club works to educate and motivate
students and community members to adopt environmentally responsible practices.
Through awareness programmes, practical initiatives and community-based
activities, the club promotes public understanding and contributes to keeping
the local environment clean, healthy and sustainable.

Annada College Eco Club Launches Cleanliness Drive The Eco Club of Annada College, Hazaribag, organized a campus cleanliness drive to promote a plastic-free environment through awareness posters, slogans, and seminars. Annada College Hosts Poster Contest on Endangered Species The Eco Club of Annada College, Hazaribagh, organized a poster-making competition to raise awareness about environmental conservation and endangered wildlife. Principal Dr. Nilmani Mukherjee, along with faculty members, encouraged the 25 student participants to protect nature and maintain ecological balance. Coordinated by Eco Club President Yuvraj Sanket, the event concluded with an evaluation of the creative entries and the felicitation of participants with certificates and awards.

Annada College Eco Club Sets Up Water Pots for Birds Amid Heatwave In response to rising summer temperatures, the Eco Club and students of Annada College, Hazaribagh, installed over 50 water vessels on trees around Gandhi Maidan to provide drinking water for birds. The student volunteers actively tied the pots and pledged to refill and maintain them regularly to protect local wildlife from water scarcity. College Principal Dr. Neelmani Mukherjee and Patron Dr. Akash Garain praised the initiative, emphasizing that safeguarding animals is a humane duty and urging that environmental awareness be translated into everyday action.

Annada College Eco Club Drives Cleanliness Campaign at Hazaribagh Lake Led by faculty mentors and commended by Principal In-charge Dr. Neelmani Mukherjee, student volunteers of the Eco Club cleaned the Hazaribagh Lake premises with brooms and trash bags to make the area plastic-free. Armed with awareness slogans, active members including Yuvraj, Prabha, and Akanksha spread messages on environmental conservation while collecting litter across the site

Annada College Eco Club Holds Environment and General Knowledge Quiz Under the Eco Club's banner and hosted by Dr. Akash Gorai, Annada College organized an environment and GK quiz competition where four student teams competed enthusiastically before chief guest Dr. Meena Srivastava. Team A, comprising Priya Chandravanshi and Vivek Raj, clinched first place, with Teams C, D, and B securing the subsequent ranks alongside active participation in an engaging audience round.

Annada College Eco Club Marks Earth Day with Waste Management Drive Annada College's Eco Club organized an Earth Day awareness event where student speakers demonstrated converting kitchen waste into organic compost and using it for homegrown vegetables. Attended by faculty leaders and enthusiastic volunteers, the program inspired participants to adopt responsible waste management and active environmental conservation practices.
